"Kottyn's Pickin" Great Dessert! | by Kottyn The Soft Spoken Poet July 23, 2011 | $2.99 | 3703 words | Sample 10% |
| Author bio: “This Is Me†My sensuality comes natural to me; my subtle flirty way can’t be contained. I’m not conceded, but very confident in my ability to mind blow you with my scent… My beauty comes from my actions not from the appearance of my physical body or should I say boo-ty. My beauty is shown in the love I project even before I speak, you respect...the silence of my voice, my eyes say so much more, look beyond the beauty I am who you adore…for what I have to offer is quietly stored…away, God holds the key so get on one knee ask for me go ahead pray. Not having a career of my own to be a good mother…â€was already written in stoneâ€, hardships, bad credit, and God is what I discovered, pushed aside my dreams to secure a good future for my sons and my daughters…no good fathers, friends, or lovers…no smoking or drinking…wait let me re-think it… My children would have been left on their own it was a struggle everyday just trying to keep the lights on…even though I have a house it’s not my home Through Gods love, grace, and mercy I’m no longer living on the streets warm bed and something good to eat… Because of God’s love I stayed above water, so if you’re not on his team, then don’t even bother…don’t think you will break me I give God the glory I am just getting started… Hey! This is just the beginning of my story! |

'Twas the Night Before Solstice (Southern Oregon Style) | by Celeste Drolle Dec. 09, 2011 | Free! | 890 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Celeste Drolle sets aside precious little time for writing, and her critics complain that it shows. Celeste shrugs this off, aims her TV remote, and tunes in another telenovela. * * * Time for writing or not, she rarely lacks for stories -- a trait, she points out, that she shares with other habitual liars. "Can you imagine if Dick Nixon had written fiction?" smiles Celeste: "I promise to tell the Half Truth, the Twisted Truth, and nothing resembling the Truth." * * * Pressed about the unlikely likeness of her publicity photo, she mumbles something inaudible about the British Museum, face lifts, and "what's a girl to do?" * * * In pursuit of her promise to write longer fiction one day, must her ravenous appetite for C movies, hush puppies and libidinous living be curtailed? "I have often worried that advancing age might trim my sails," muses Ms. Drolle. "Lordy, how mistaken can a body can be?" |

101 Politically Incorrect LIMERICKS | by Gary Kuyper Oct. 21, 2010 | $0.99 | 18229 words | Sample 15% |
| Author bio: Gary Kuyper began his professional literary career writing self-help and general interest articles for Daan Retief Publishers who produced a monthly book for their woman’s club called Woman’s Forum. These articles would sometimes require research and had titles as diverse as The Human Brain and Body Painting! Being a professional photographer on a part-time basis Gary has also managed to have his articles on photography (With accompanying photographs) published in books and magazines. He has also done some free-lance photography and photojournalism projects for numerous local newspapers. Over the past four years he has constantly managed to be one of the top finalists in the Nova Short Story Competition (A competition for budding writers of science fiction and/or fantasy). Last year (2009) Gary had the pleasure of seeing The Devil's Little Tadpoles grace the pages of the local SF & Fantasy Fanzine Probe. He is an avid film buff and amateur film maker. A few years ago I managed to take first prize in the SA Ten Best Film Makers Competition with a short film entitled The Crimson Cobra - An action-packed martial arts / superhero movie using some of the very talented local artists. He is a qualified prosthetics make-up artist and has used this talent on both amateur and professional productions. He has also appeared on television in a youth program especially made for enlightening people in the art of special effects make-up. Gary has a rather excellent general knowledge being not only an avid writer but reader of any material that is able to stimulate him cerebrally. He taught himself Adobe Photoshop and has become adapt and proficient enough at utilizing the software to such a degree that he has managed to sell a number of creations to various institutes and organizations. He is particularly fond of a logo designed for the Krazy Mug Coffee Shop and several covers that have graced the front of Probe. Gary has a vast knowledge of music and has appeared on the local Television Music Quiz Show Note for Note where he was able to win a substantial amount of prize money. In 2008 he entered the SF / Fantasy Mini Radio Play Competition and took first prize with his The Adventures of Captain Max Power of the Intergalactic Police - an obvious homage to the early Flash Gordon radio series’. A number of skilled professionals are now planning to produce Max to CD and have it aired on a local radio station (SAfm). All his literary and photojournalistic accomplishments have been done on a part-time basis due to the fact that his full time career is lecturing mathematics as well as engineering science at a Technical College. Although this is a most fulfilling profession, it has long been Gary's ideal to become a full-time writer – especially of fantasy, science fiction and horror novels. He has recently published his first full-length fantasy novel - The Chronicles of Baltrath: The DARK WIZARDS. As a considerable amount of time and effort has been expended in building the world of Baltrath, Gary has begun work on a sequel to The Dark Wizards. |

108 Breaths | by Mark Wollacott Jan. 23, 2012 | $1.99 | 10545 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: Mark Wollacott was born in 1980 in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and grew up there, but has spent most of his 20s in Japan and Hungary. He studied at Europe's smallest university, the University of Wales, Lampeter and played badly for their cricket team. Graduation saw him move into an assistant manager role at a hiking store in Cirencester until it burnt down in 2004. After a brief stint in Bristol, he spent five years teaching English in Osaka, Japan. While there he wrote for Kansai Time Out, Kansai Scene and on coming back to England, The Austin Post. His first short story "The Spare Room" was published in the For Tohoku charity anthology in 2011. He has found it increasingly difficult to find work in Britain and his poetry collection "108 Breaths" is his first attempt on a long road to becoming a self-publisher and full-time writer. It is either that or join the dole queue. Mark now spends most of his time writing, arguing with his cat and wishing Aston Villa would not sell their best players. |

3 Poems | by Angus Brownfield Nov. 20, 2011 | Free! | 411 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I was born in Kansas by mistake, and I've never found my way back. The man behind the curtain, it seems, had no hot air balloon. I spent more years than I care to count writing in the language of hierarchical organizations (also known as bureaucracies). I wrote grant proposals and long range plans, for example. I believe I have finally purged myself of all bureaucratese, and ought to be understood to regular (i.e., non-bureaucrat) persons. I've lived in Missouri, California and Oregon, presently in a smallish burg named Talent, where citizens know the names of waitresses and mail carriers and "howdy" each other on the street. It's a far cry from Los Angeles and Berkeley, where I did lots of my writing of grant applications and such. My big-time favorite writer is Thomas Mann, but if you wave Elmore Leonard or Robert B. Parker under my nose, I am like a sot sniffing an Old Fashioned. I have a tough hide and a tender heart. I cry in two-hanky movies, but I was a boxer in college. I can make a salmon souffle, but I favor large, complex stews and soups that I can eat over several days. I also bake a very good sourdough French bread. I have a blog which has lain dormant for some time, because no one seems to read it, though spammers flock to it. I would welcome comments there from anyone who would actually read a posting. Late in 2011 I launched my eighth novel, Guardian of the Lost Colony, the third book in the Mustt Adventure Series. With that kind of output it's time to concentrate on getting my work read and appreciated. Look forward to some book deals in 2012. |

4 White Walls | by Leanne Elliott April 27, 2010 | $0.99 | 2975 words | Sample 30% |
| Author bio: Born in QLD Australia, to a middle class family; I guess you could say I was raised in a carefree yet strict manner. From an early age I found it hard to socialise with others, and quite often preferred my own company. I discovered very fast that I had more of an affinity with animals rather than the people around me. I moved to NSW at the age of 7 with my two elder sisters (10+ years my senior), who I always wished I could have been closer to in age; and my parents. While they did there best, they faught on most days (but always made sure that they told me that they loved me and provided me with most of the things I wanted). At the age of 14 I decided to rebel against my parents, my family and the world; I didn't get this rebellious mostly self destructive side out of my blood until reaching 23 years of age. That's when I got the biggest and most unexpected surprise of my life, I was soon going to be a mum. No, I wasn't prepared, nor was I ever what you would call a maternal type. Early on I had decided I mostly likely wouldn't have children, but saying that is one thing. And almost 10 years down the track (with a few hiccups along the way) I now have two lovely children; a man that works hard and loves typical Aussie bloke past times i.e. fishing, beer, 4WD's, BBQ's and his TV. Now in my early 30's I guess you could say I have grown into a semi stable, semi sane, good hearted, opinionated yet compassionate woman; combined with a love for poetry, art, helping others and learning; I have always dabbled with art and poetry mostly for my own therapy. However now I find myself with some spare time, I decided to take a re adventure into my creative side and share it with you all. |

| Author bio: Hi all, I hope you have enjoyed reading Old Magick. As you can see, I like the vampire genre, but it doesn't stop there. I love to read, some of my favourite authors include Terry Pratchett, Iain M Banks, Margaret Atwood, Robert Jordan and Anne Rice. There is quite a wide range of different styles of book and novella on my kindle at the moment and I am currently reading The Wheel of Time Series again, after finishing it (up to date anyway) and recently reading Snuff. I have more hobbies than reading and writing though, I also cross stitch and design patterns I am currently stitching some pieces that are a part of a magazine commission for the coming New Year. I normally spend some time stitching and take a break by writing. I am currently writing the sequel to Old Magick, set back in the 1400's it follows the same family. I am also storyboarding for the third and final in the series. I hope you like them and stay with me until the end. Happy reading Kirstyanne Ross x |

A Calloused Compilation | by James Christianson Dec. 05, 2011 | $0.99 | 11489 words | Sample 35% |
| Author bio: James Christianson was born in Southern Oregon. As a natural born analytic, James found a great interest in people watching and searching for answers to human behavior. A confusing life full of lost love and tormenting relationships, the best outlet was to organize disturbing thoughts through writing. James Christianson has been published in many multiple author compilations and featured on a professionally read Compact Disc. With many more books on their way, it was time to branch out on his own. He holds the firm belief that the "starving artists and starving authors" are the creators of the free world exercising their constitutional rights and offering an escape from the mundane and repetitive daily patterns by offering new views on life's circumstances. |

Apart from writing, I play the guitar, sing, dance, play badmington etc. I hope my passion of writing shines through as you read my poems and stories. Enjoy! |

| Author bio: What can I say? What do you want to know? Read these pages and you feel my flow. I keep it real, I keep it quick. If you can't tell my last name is Swift. I'm full of energy and full of pride. Read my work and be taken for a ride. Yes I'm confident, you may call it cocky. Don't you worry, I don't want your shorty. She may want me, but don't blame her you see. Dreams without actions are fantasies. |

A Few Poems From Words I Found In Divorced | by tony haynes May 25, 2010 | $3.99 | 4034 words | Sample 50% |
| Author bio: Tony Haynes is a practitioner of Acrostic Poetry, in less than a minute Tony can literally pull a poem out of thin air. Give him the title of what you’d like to call your poem, and he will create it for you on the spot. The catch is, he will write your name in the air, and show you how the beginning of each line in the poem he’s creating spells the letters of your name downward. It’s an eloquent combination of spontaneous penmanship & showmanship. The poem is being written down as he speaks it into existence. This way, the person he’s creating it for has an instant one-of-a-kind personalized gift that they can cherish for a lifetime. Before Tony realized he had this rare talent, he was a songwriter, music publisher, record producer & author. As a songwriter/music publisher, Tony has accomplished a great deal. “Send A Little Love,†- his first song, was recorded by the Spinners in 1981. Since then, Tony’s songs have been recorded on over 200 albums, selling in excess of 70 million copies worldwide. These songs have earned him 60 gold and multi-platinum awards, as well as several ASCAP Awards. Songs from his Music Publishing catalogues include; Sole’s“4 5 6â€, Bobby Brown’s “Get Awayâ€, Mya’s “Case Of The Exâ€, Robert Palmer’s “Hyperactiveâ€, The Whisper’s “Innocentâ€, 3LW’s “Playa’s Gon’ Play†and “No More (Baby, I’m A Do Right)â€, Jeffrey Osborne’s “She’s On The Leftâ€, as well as songs recorded by Karyn White, Earth, Wind & Fire, Al Jarreau, Regina Belle, Go West, SOS Band, George Duke, Evelyn Champagne King, Peabo Bryson, Kool & The Gang, The Temptations, Isley Brothers and many others. In 1993, Tony turned his considerable talents to the world of children’s entertainment. He began producing audio products, writing books and creating animated characters. He made deals with Warner Kids, Dove Audio, T.W. Kids, Kid WB Music & Kid Rhino. Under these deals, Tony wrote and/or produced “Bugs Bunny in Carrotblancaâ€, “Looney Tunes Lovables Lullabiesâ€, Pinky & The Brain’s “Bubba Bo Bob Brainâ€, “The Animaniacs Hip Hopera Christmasâ€, and many other wonderful projects. Tony also directed Chick Hearn’s play-by-play on Kid WB’s “Space Jam†audio adventure. For Hanna Barbera and Motown, Tony was an Executive Producer for “The Flintstone’s Motown Christmas.†For Mattel/Sony Wonder, he co-wrote “Slideâ€, which appeared on Barbie’s “Beyond Pink†album. Tony has authored 34 books based on the Baby Looney Tunes characters. These books were published by Warner Bros. Worldwide Publishing, Landoll and Penguin Books. Titles include; “Fly Kiteâ€, “Yummy Treatâ€, “Nap Landâ€, “Good-Night Baby Tweetyâ€, “RazzamaTazâ€, “A Dune Buggy Ride With Baby Tazâ€, “Baby Tweety’s Flying Machineâ€, “Bubblesâ€, “Baby Sylvester’s Big Day†and “Baby Bugs’ Favorite Thingsâ€. Presently, Tony is hosting a new game/reality show called “You Write The Lyrics.†|
