The Butterfly Princess

It was a beautiful spring day at Kate and Jake’s home.
The sun was shining bright in the deep blue sky.
The birds were singing and the squirrels and rabbits were playing in the yard.
Kate and her brother Jake were playing tag and throwing the ball in the back yard.
All of a sudden, Kate had a wonderful idea.
They would go on a treasure hunt and look for treasures.
They started the treasure hunt in the front yard.
Kate found six acorns and Jake found an old can and two old leaves.
They moved to the back yard to look for more treasures.
Kate found two ladybugs and a four leaf clover and Jake found a flower and an old stick.
They looked for treasures in the flower garden.
A colorful butterfly landed on a flower and slowly flapped its wings.
Kate and Jake stared at the many bright colors of the butterfly.
Kate and her brother tried to catch the butterfly.
The butterfly flew from the flower and headed into the back yard.
Kate and Jake chased the butterfly until the butterfly rested on a tree branch.
Kate cupped the butterfly in her hands.
