| Author bio: Patricia Ann Reid is a first time novelist at age 79 with her self-published book, SEAN’S SECRET ROOM –Ghostly Guide to an Old West Town. Patricia was born in Portland, Oregon in 1932. She attended New York City elementary schools, Pittsfield High School in New Hampshire, and the University of New Hampshire. She graduated with a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy in 1953, and received O.T.R. qualification in 1954.            Early influences were drama, drawing and reading. Pat’s first writings were published in an elementary school magazine and later in a high school newspaper. As an occupational therapist she wrote technical reports and kept personal journals.            Pat quit her first job in Hartford, Connecticut in 1959 to marry Bill Reid and move to Colorado. Travel throughout the southwest United States and Mexico on vacations achieved Pat’s dream to see the west. A milestone in continuing travel was a move to Zambia, Africa in 1961. Pat wrote daily observations, “From My Window,†and enrolled in the Famous Writers’ School in Westport, Connecticut. She received certification in the nonfiction course.            Returning in 1965 to the United States after intervals in Europe and England, Pat brought up three daughters in Colorado. She resumed work in occupational therapy and took courses in fashion design. Several of Pat’s patient treatment programs were published, and she created a line of original clothing.            In the 90’s Pat wrote music and stories which she performed locally. She took writing classes, published articles, letters and book reviews in local newspapers, newsletters and magazines. A visit to a haunted Bed and Breakfast in Trinidad, Colorado, inspired her book about time travel with a ghost in a historic town. She is writing a second book.            Pat and her research engineer husband live in Golden, Colorado. |

His secret love for writing started when he wrote biographies of his ancestors and short stories of how some of the adventures of those characters that were in the old Wild West. Some of the relatives and old-timers would tell outrageous and hilarious stories of the old Wild West and Bill became intrigued by the stories as he grew older. He began his first full length fictional novel after he retired from the Construction business. "Three Gold Rings" was finished in 2009 and is currently published as an E-Book by Smashwords, Inc. Bill started his second novel in 2010, "Justice with Vengeance" and was finished in 2011. |
